Tuxedos
Hey, my daughter is getting married next August(09). I am very new to this and could use some advice. The main color is green and she is leaning for a spring green. It will be very hot, no doubt and probably humid. The groom is from Kenya and at first was thinking of a white tux. I have heard that maybe this could be too bright for his skin color. Any advice? Hoping that maybe a gray would work better? Also,do the Grandfathers wear tuxes? It will be a small wedding with only one attendant for the bride and one for the groom, and one usher. My ex husband will wear a tux. How about my husband? He will be paying for more than half of the wedding. Also, would it be better for the bride to come down the aisle with Dad using a walker, or should she come down alone or should I walk her down. My husband offered but don\'t want to hurt the Dad\'s feeling. thanks for any advice......juls 20 Jul 2008 15:50

questions
As for the groom wearing a white tux, i'm not sure whether it'd be to bright or not. Your best bet is to humor him and go with them to the tux shop and have him try one on, that way you all can see what it looks like and he can see what it looks like and who knows, he may not even like it himself!

I'm having a smaller wedding also and my grandfathers will just be wearing nice suits. My grandpa asked if he could not wear a tux though because it bugs him. I think, if there rather old and it's going to be hot and humid it may be hard for them to enjoy the wedding if they are wearing a tux.

My mom is also remarried and her husband will be wearing a tux as well as my dad and my fiance's dad. So if your husband wants to wear a tux, I say let him.

My dad also has to use a walker to walk. But he will most definitely be walking me down the isle. I would say that unless he doesn't want to walk her down the isle, let him. That's a very special moment between a girl and her dad. A walker shouldn't define whether or not it happens. Plus, you can also dress the walker up a little bit. We're going to decorate my dad's a little bit just to make it feel like another peice of the wedding.

Hope I helped!
