4 Mothers!?!!		 I am not engaged yet, but my boyfriend and I discuss our future wedding often. (We have been together for 4 years, own a house together...its serious enough!) Our main concern is that with our blended families, we have 4 mothers/stepmothers, to contend with. Each is QUITE opinionated. Not to mention the 5 grandmothers who also think they have a say. While we would like to have a "traditional" wedding with a ceremony and reception, we know that the occasion could be a disaster/comedy routine (did I mention that none of the mothers/stepmothers really get along? Even across family lines?), and could be quite stressful. However, we know many other family members and friends that we would like to be part of our wedding day, and that would be honored to be there. We also discuss eloping, but that also raises concerns, as some family members and friends would be deeply hurt by not being included.

HELP! The thought of the stress of either situation has been part of us not getting married yet, and then that starts to cause problems between us. If anyone has any ideas, thoughts, prayers, or experience with this, I would love the inspiration! Thanks! 		18 Oct 2008 05:37
