Run away or stay

My fiance and I have been planning to get marreid for the last year and half. We started planning a fairly big but small wedding, but now we have decided to go on a crusie and get married. and when we get back maybe like the following weekend have a reception with our family and friends. But now I am a woman and have been going back and fourth in my mind trying to weigh all the pros and cons. Please give me your advice about running away to get married and then having a reception? Please help me...

Hi,
There are pros and cons for getting married by yourselves and you need to sit down and think why you are so hesitant going away. What is the reason for you going away to get married? What does your husband-to-be think?

By having a reception for friends and family when you get home from your cruise a great idea so no one feels 'left out'. However, sometimes the parents will be upset that they didn't get to be there on your 'big day'. Remember that it is your choice and one solution is to hire someone to film your wedding vowels on the boat etc and give them a copy as a present when you get home.
