I was just wondering if I am over reacting, I am thinking of not going to the wedding. My husband and I and my son who still hangs with the groom and bride are invited to the wedding. Our daughter who was a big part of growing up with the groom is not invited and I think she should be included. The grooms mother is a close friend and when the kids were growing up we did everything together.

Attending the Wedding

It might be to late but I had a similar situation. Here were my thoughts. My parents wanted to invite a couple...my neighbors growing up. Their daughter and I grew up together, participated in sports together, and hung out throughout high school. However, since high school...over 10 years ago...we have not talked. My parents still talk to hers so out of respect for them the parents were invited. I stressed over whether or not to invite her for a long time. In the end, I decided not to because it would have meant not inviting someone who is currently more involved in our lives and more meaningful for us to be present. It could have really came down to a limited number of seats or a budget.
