Front Pew Seating

Is it proper for the bride to seat her 2 sisters in front pew on grooms side and place grooms sister and husband in second pew. Isn\'t the grooms only sister be allowed to seat next to the parents on the grooms side.

I believe siblings sit in the front row with the parents. However, they could also be seated in the second row if the bride and groom prefer. More couples breaking away from the cookie-cutter wedding as they call it.

I don\'t know the family history but I think both sides of the family should be treated equally unless there are extenuating circumstances. Is there not enough room for the groom\'s sister (and her husband) to sit in the front row? What about on the bride\'s side?? Did the sister have a falling out with the groom or bride-to-be?

I am close with my family and we have always viewed it as gaining a sibling (whether it was my brother-in-law or sister-in-law). Treating them unequally just wouldn\'t sit well with me in that I do not think it is a good base to build a family relationship on. Every family is different though. Just my thoughts.
